Every author requires a different level of service. Beyond our basic offerings, authors can choose from a list of additional add-ons and tailor their service package depending on their needs. Please submit an enquiry to admin@evernorthbooks.ca to discuss packages, pricing, and options.

Individual Services

• Formatting

• Sourcing, management, and distribution of book inventory, including special editions, through our network of trusted international printers

• Author website consultation

• Accounting, financial, and taxation services, provided directly by Evernorth in-house accounting staff 

  • Accounting and financial statement assistance is limited to jurisdictions accepting IFRS and US GAAP

  • Taxation assistance is limited to the United States and Canada at this time

• Provision of editorial and proofreading services through trusted third-party providers

• Preparation of cover art and design, also through trusted third-party providers

• Management, selection, and distribution of Advance Reader Copies (electronic and physical)

• International liaison services for self-directed translation ventures

• Social media and marketing guidance 

• Management, development, and fulfillment of fan merchandise, such as branded bookmarks, stationery, and apparel.

Comprehensive Management

In addition to the individual services available above, comprehensive management packages are available for authors who are looking to focus intensively on their writing, as opposed to business management initiatives. Authors also benefit from the increased privacy provided by an arms-length imprint:

• Registration and provision of Canadian ISBNs

• Publication submission and management across KDP, Ingram, and related platforms

• Management of royalty payments, and conversion to an author's preferred local currency at advantageous rates

• Author website development and management at industry-leading prices

• Social media and marketing guidance

• Limited subsidiary rights facilitation

Please note that Evernorth Books, while providing an extensive range of services for authors, is not a traditional publication house or entity. Individual authors retain ownership and direction of their works. Evernorth Books is positioned between Author Personal Assistants and full-service publishing entities, providing services on an as-needed basis in close collaboration with individual authors. 

In general, Evernorth Books will not provide advances or charge upfront fees for facilitating services. Payment for basic services is provided by the author in the following ways:

• Fixed markup on individual third-party expenses organized by Evernorth Books

• Fixed fees for individual services and consultations

• Fixed commission on royalty payments, including subright sales advances, for Comprehensive Management clients

Evernorth Books does not claim to be, nor will it act as, a literary agent. In the event of significant right sales opportunities beyond audio and straightforward foreign translation, Evernorth Books will always recommend client authors to seek the services of a dedicated literary agent.
